Manager of Managers & COVID-19

As announced earlier this month, due to global uncertainty around Covid-19, it is with deep regret that we have decided to postpone both LeadDev London 2020 and the LeadDev Manager of Managers London 2020 conference.

LeadDev Manager of Managers will now take place on 10 June 2021 at Banking Hall, London.

LeadDev Together is a seven-part virtual event series hosted by Anjuan Simmons, who will be joined in each session by a subject specialist co-host. Each session will feature talks and panels from engineering leaders that will ground your knowledge and present new ideas. You’ll then have the opportunity to discuss what you’ve learned in a structured manner – with prompts, exercises, and discussion pieces given to you by our expert hosts.

You’ll attend the sessions with an appetite to change your organisations for the better; and leave with actionable, peer-discussed strategies to effect personal and organisation change.

Options for existing Manager of Manager ticket holders

If you currently hold a ticket toManager of Managers, we want to give you a choice about what LeadDev experience will work best for you.

Your ticket is valid to attend Manager of Manager in June 2021, but you may choose to transfer (free of charge) to another of our in-person conferences when they resume next year, or to our recently announced 2020 digital programme, LeadDev Together.

When and where will the postponed conference take place?

LeadDev Manager of Managers is postponed to 10 June, 2021. The conference venue is: Banking Hall, London.

I have a ticket to Manager of Managers, what happens now?

All Manager of Manager ticket holders should have now received an email with a link to this form to make your transfer selection regarding your ticket. You may transfer your conference ticket to:

  • LeadDev Together, our 2020 digital programme. Each individual ticket allows for you to bring a second person to the programme. Check it out here
  • LeadDev Manager of Manager 2021 conference
  • A different LeadDev 2021 conference

All transfers are free of charge. Please note that places for all events are limited by capacity so we can only guarantee you a place until they sell out. For that reason, we recommend you make a decision as early as you are able to.

If we do not hear from you by 31 December 2020, your ticket will default transfer to the new 2021 dates, subject to ticket availability. You will be notified by email once this ticket transfer has taken place.

I have submitted an application to attend Managers of Managers, what happens now?

We will continue to review applications and will let you know if yours has been accepted.

Are you still accepting applications for Manager of Managers?

Yes we are, please go ahead and fill out the application form.

I had flights and accommodation booked for the June conference dates, what are my options?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to help with the travel and accommodation costs that are affected by the conference dates move. The best option would be to see if the flight/hotel providers are open to rescheduling the dates as well. Alternatively, you could recover costs via your travel insurance.

I am attending Lead Dev London as well as Manager of Managers, is that event delayed as well?

Yes, we are moving Lead Dev London to 8 and 9 June 2021. You can find more information about this on the Lead Dev London website.

Will other Lead Dev conferences be postponed?

As the COVID-19 situation has unfolded we have realised that it will not be possible to run our planned in-person events at this current time. It is with deep regret that we have decided to postpone the following in-person events until later in 2021:

  • LeadDev New York is postponed from August 2020 until April 2021
  • LeadDev San Francisco is postponed from October 2020 until October 2021
  • LeadDev London is postponed from February 2021 until June 2021
